Martin Freeman's Tips on How to Not Get Emasculated - GQ Celebrity Life Advice

Welcome to Martin Freeman's Life advice with me, Martin Freeman. With me, Martin Freeman. Reading genuine questions from actual made up people.

Q1. This is the very American question.

"I'm starting dating a guy who really interesting in soccer."

Football. Said the rest of the f* ing world.

"and I'm trying to learn everything I can before the world cup. Where should I start? "

Don't call soccer, that's the... Just football. The rest of the planet on earth, calls it football. Start there.

Q2. This is funny (as he's reading next card)

"I hate every single one of my wife's friends. I worry she has bad taste in people. Is this reflect bad on me, since she chose me as a life mate? "

Its' only her mates. You're a real, special friend a hateful man!

Q3. This is another question from a real made up person.

"I have a friend always insists on paying for dinner. To the point of this is, kind of rediculous, is he trying to emasculate me or am I reading too much into it? "

He's not obviously taking your feeling into consideration. Otherwise would you(we?) feeling like this. He should ask you but more important, you should tell him. Maybe rather than asking an English actor.

Q4. "My wife tells me she doesn't believe in God, but some reasons, once our 3 years son too! I'm serious because I'm a theist. Is there any kind? Should I indulge her? "

Yes, you should indulge her. I think you should. But you should keep talking about it. I don't know, I don't know.

What's happening now? Is is the mice again? F***ing modern art.

Autamn Class

I stopped writing this diary for a while because it depressed me to be not able to write any good. Ha, ha. Since I have finished my conversation lessons, I joined a new class this Autamn. Considered to join writing intensive class at first, but chose another class. It's for IELTS exam. It contains writing lesson although. I am struggling to write on Sundays for my homework.

There're things to impove our writing skills, the first thing is a planning. Because we don't have time to edit while Exam. It's a good practice to write logically, and effectively in short time. The second thing is linking. I need "clear progression throughout".

I'll take the exam at the bigging of next year, however I am not confident about getting good scores. Anyway, I've been studying hard these days.

Another new job

Amazingly, I've got a new job using English. Translating a book. I basically manage the project, and don't have to read all pages or proofread as an editor. It is an appropriate position for me as an English learner. It was coincidence, those things would happen when I find a new favorite activity. There is a saying that one's strong tendency draw his luck. I rather enjoy this project, although the translated writing was awful. Really awful... than me.
